Amber received an M.S. in acupuncture from Tri-State College of Acupuncture, one of the oldest and most renowned acupuncture schools in the country. There she trained directly with masters in three different styles of acupuncture: Acupuncture Physical Medicine, Kiiko Matsumoto Acupuncture, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her post-graduate studies led her to study the source of all of those styles, Classical Chinese Medicine. Studying these different styles allows her to look at a given situation from many angles, which proves invaluable when it comes to evaluating each patient’s specific condition.
In her private practice, Amber specializes in the treatment of psycho-emotional disorders. She believes that acupuncture is a powerful way to tap into the ailments of the soul. Her aim is both to understand your ailment, and to see how it is manifesting in your unique constitution. In addition to acupuncture she also incorporates cupping, tui na, moxabustion, and lifestyle recommendations into your treatment as needed. Her goal is to facilitate the process by which your body resides in optimal health, as well as to provide you with helpful tools that will allow you to continue to heal on your own.

Chinese medicine views the body on a macro scale. Health problems usually don’t come from a single source. Often, it’s the product of an entire interplay of one’s lifestyle, biology, constitution, and psycho-emotional state. Stephanie’s goal in her acupuncture practice is not only to alleviate discomfort but to draw on the wealth of Chinese medical diagnosis to address the root causes and to gently guide the body toward self-healing.
Stephanie is committed to coming alongside her patients in their health and wellbeing. She has provided acupuncture at Lutheran Medical Hospital, NYU Langone Hospital for Joint Diseases, and Beth Israel Continuum Cancer Center, and treats a variety of ailments including muscle pain, anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, gastrointestinal discomfort, infertility, gynecological issues, and the side effects of chemotherapy. Outside of Worksong, she maintains a private practice in Middle Village, New York.
Alongside her acupuncture practice, Stephanie leads Traditional Chinese Medicine-based wellness workshops through Reveal NYC, a nonprofit organization fostering uplifting experiences for survivors of domestic violence and sex-trafficking. She is also an avid cook and the writer behind The Herby Kitchen, a culinary blog aiming to bring Chinese herbal ingredients into the modern kitchen.
“Your body is your temple.” This mantra has resonated with me since my youth. From the time I was a child athlete (ice hockey was my sport) to the present day, exercise and fitness has been ingrained as part of my daily life. I wholeheartedly believe that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind and spirit. Massage is an integral component to achieving a healthy body as it encourages the body to self heal (be it from the daily grind of the work week or from the physical exertion of being a weekend warrior). A holistic approach to health care is a major part of my background. Instead of popping a pill, we will address the root of your discomfort and heal it together. I received formal massage training at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM), earning an Associate of Occupational Studies degree. My experience includes an internship at the Joffrey Ballet School and outreach events, such as the 9/11 Tunnel to Towers race. My specialties are sports, deep tissue, trigger point, Shiatsu, Reflexology and Thai massage.
