I began my study of Chinese medicine in 1999 and have been seeing patients since 2006. I came to this medicine from a background in studio art. I’ve also spent a substantial number of years working in the culinary world and practicing martial arts and qigong. My teachers have been Lonny Jarrett, Paul Fraser, and Master Ou, Wen Wei.
What I love about practicing acupuncture is the opportunity to build substantial and warm relationships with people from all walks of life, but especially those who, like myself, have chosen to carve out a living outside of corporate structures. In the decade that I’ve been at Worksong, I have come to view the artists, musicians, bartenders, tattooers, filmmakers, and servers who have come to me as not only my patients, but also my comrades.
The theory and structures of this ancient modality give us a tremendous opportunity to transform not only physical conditions, but also one’s reality, outlook and destiny. I am privileged to be able to use the tools of this energetic medicine to serve the people of the city I love.
