Max began his studies in pre-med at Stony Brook University before transferring to Hunter college in Manhattan and graduating there with a Bachelors degree in liberal arts. After working in the film industry for a few years, Max found his way back to his true calling in health-care and ultimately graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with a Master of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine.
Max specializes in treating orthopedic, digestive, and psycho-emotional disharmony as both singular and interrelated phenomena. Max's goal is to help each patient heal, and to empower them to regain harmony throughout their lives through lasting lifestyle changes.
For Max, Acupuncture is the perfect blend of art and science. As a practitioner, he seeks to bridge the divide between a scientific approach to health-care and a holistic one - with a focus on each individual and their own personal path toward wellness. Max specializes in orthopedic issues of all kinds, including athletic injuries, utilizing trigger point technique as well as cupping and guasha. In addition, Max specializes in treating psycho-emotional dis-harmonies, and their consequent effects within the body, especially anxiety and digestive issues. Max has also helped many women in all areas of fertility - from labor induction, to morning sickness. His help in treating addiction and pain disorders have been written about in Vice and Muscle and Fitness magazines.
